Korean Cultural Center, FSI Meet for Stronger Partnership

The Foreign Service Institute (FSI) hosted the officers of Korean Cultural Center for a meeting to strengthen cooperation and establish linkages held at the Institute, 5th Floor, DFA Building,  on 29 April 2015.

Mr. Oh Choong-Suk, Director, and Mr. Lee Du-Kyung, General Manager of the Korean Cultural Center, were welcomed by Acting Director-General Julio S. Amador III; Ms. Marichu C. Liwanag, Head of the Carlos P. Romulo School of Diplomacy (CPRSD); Ms. Rowena C. Villanueva, FSI Board Secretary; and Ms. Nona C. Mangahis, Head of Language Programs Section.

During the meeting, the parties determined that the possible areas of cooperation between the Institute and the Center include Korean language classes, the creation of a Korean reference section at the Carlos P. Romulo Library, and the joint hosting of Korean cultural programs.

Mr. Amador then gave the Korean visitors a tour of the Institute’s facilities such as the Special Envoy Carlos Chan room, the CPRSD classrooms, Carlos P. Romulo Library, and the Ambassador Benedicto Room.
